Hello October!
The weather is getting cooler and it’s the month to enjoy some
free kids attractions around San Diego (kids are free only). Check out the link
below to the CBS8 article so you can find out more about the free kids stuff
offered in October.

Also, as you all know there will be no school for two weeks – beginning next week! It is hard to believe that fall break is just about here. The big question is beginning to come up now – what to be for Halloween? Costumes are available everywhere, but what about the old costumes? I know I have a bunch from past years stuffed in a box with the decorations. Each year they come out and get tried on. The ones that don’t fit go back in the box; the ones that do fit get left out. I have to say that my kids are pretty good about wearing costumes that we already have, but as they get older it is getting much more difficult to convince them that they just can be Darth Vader again – even though I have had to fix the torn seams and modify straps a few times. So, long
story short, here it is the first of October and our yearly “what to be for Halloween” conversation has begun. It will be tiresome and there will be a long list of NEW things to be, until at the last minute they decide what they really want to be. Last year the boys wore morphsuits. Those were certainly different! It is too early to know for sure, but I think that I have the boys convinced
just to add to the morphsuits this year – get a hat or a cape or something to make it unique. Each time the conversation comes up they look at me like I’ve suddenly sprouted a third eye ball and give me that “Really Mom?” look. That’s my job though!
Don’t forget to check out the October Newsletter (If it is up yet check back in a day or two) and check us out on Facebook too (be sure to like us!).
Have a great break!!
